'Short of time? Let\'s get to work with this 15-minute total core/ab workout which is aimed at improving your core strength while toning your abdominals. Remember, having a \'six-pack\' does not mean you have a strong core, so let\'s focus on building strength from the inside out and if aesthetics is your goal ( because why not?) then this workout will also help to improve your muscle definition. Just remember, we are all genetically unique and different, so this, along with your diet will play a huge role in your overall body fat percentage but PLEASE DO NOT GET HUNG UP ON THAT. Let\'s focus on building a stronger and healthier body in the safest way possible.  In case you are wondering \"Which muscles make up my core?\" Core muscles are located deep within your trunk, extending from the base of your head to your pelvis. They include:  - Traverse abdominis (located on each side of the naval) - Internal and external obliques (extending diagonally from ribs to pelvis) - Rectus abdominis (known as the six-pack) - Multifidus and erector spinae (located along the spine from head to pelvis)  This Core/ Ab workout is perfect for those of us looking for surf-specific core training as well as for those of us who want to improve on our current core strength. Enjoy a small mobility block of exercises to start with along with some core activation exercises. Our core is our powerhouse and the point from which we initiate all of our movements, so investing in our core health should be a top priority.  Remember to take this workout at your own pace. We are all at different stages of our fitness journey and if there are certain exercises that are really challenging, don\'t let that discourage you.
