Co-Founder & Spokesman of @kion bengreenfieldfitness.com/ben-recommends Follow him at https://www.instagram.com/bengreenfieldfitness/ First 5 Minutes of Automated Script: 00:01 it\'s me 00:03 well it\'s could it be this time of night 00:06 he\'s getting ready for bed and as I\'ve 00:11 been prone to do I\'ve been popping on 00:13 and playing you guys some Muzak do I 00:17 have any tips for you tonight before I 00:19 play you a song again a song that I was 00:22 thinking about today that I turn to when 00:25 times seem a little hard I learned two 00:29 lessons today 00:30 I\'ve been practicing daily nightly 00:32 actually something called examine oh 00:35 it\'s a spiritual discipline also known 00:37 as self-examination and you typically 00:41 ask yourself what was life giving today 00:43 and what was life boarding or what am i 00:47 grateful for what moment am i grateful 00:49 for and what moment am I not grateful 00:51 for right so examine involves examining 00:56 what you did well and what you could 00:59 have done better and it\'s actually a 01:00 really cool practice we have this book 01:03 called the handbook of spiritual 01:05 disciplines and so every week there\'s 01:08 kind of like a new theme and this week 01:09 the theme is self-examination it\'s been 01:11 a really cool practice like today the 01:14 most life-giving thing for me that I 01:17 realize is just this sounds stupid but I 01:20 get so much energy when I jump in that 01:22 ice bath that it\'s just always shocking 01:25 to me like how my energy is boosted for 01:28 like a good hour too so that was my life 01:31 giving was just embrace the cold because 01:34 it gives you a lot of energy and then 01:36 life forwarding was in the afternoon I 01:39 like glanced on my email inbox and had 01:41 like 40 emails and just you know my 01:44 heart sunk and I was like ah here we go 01:47 and and I thought you know what no I\'m 01:50 gonna walk away and come back when I\'m 01:51 in a better headspace I went for a walk 01:53 in the sunshine I called my mom I came 01:57 back I was energized I jumped into the 01:59 emails and it was breathing well and had 02:01 a good smile on my face while I was 02:03 working 02:03 and so I learn 02:06 that that\'s life forwarding sometimes 02:08 that email INBOX but you can walk away 02:11 from it sometimes and then come back 02:13 when you\'re in a better headspace and I 02:14 give myself permission to do that and um 02:16 it was great so a few lessons for today 02:21 all right I\'ll shut up now and play you 02:22 guys a little music every day\'s going 02:24 well and again this is a song that just 02:27 really picks me up when I\'m feeling like 02:31 hopeless or overwhelmed sometimes my 02:41 life just don\'t make sense at all 02:49 when the mountains look so big and my 02:54 faith just seems so small so hope Jesus 03:02 cuz I\'m shaking like a flea you\'ve been 03:08 king of my glory won\'t you be my friend 03:13 and peace 03:16 [Music] 03:18 and I wake up in the night and the fear 03:23 of the dark 03:27 it\'s so hot inside my soul I swear there 03:32 must be pastors on my so hope Jesus 03:41 cuz I\'m shaking like Italy 03:45 you\'ve been king of my glory what should 03:51 be my prayers of being surrender don\'t 03:58 come natural to me I\'d rather fight you 04:05 for something don\'t really want I\'m 04:09 gonna take what you give it at me and 04:13 I\'ll beat my Harrigan so many waffles 04:17 now I\'m falling down I\'m falling on my 04:22 [Music] 04:26 and the Salvation Army bands playing 04:31 this him 04:35 and your grace rings out so deep it 04:40 makes my resistance ear so thing I\'m 04:45 saying 04:46 hold me Jesus the sound shaking like 04:51 Italy he you\'ve been king of my glory 04:58 won\'t you be he my presence of peace 05:02 you\'re been king of my glory won\'t you'
