'Avera Fitness Expert Dick Bartling demonstrates a golf stretch called the Crocodile Drill. Hi, I\'m Dick Bartling; Fitness Expert at the Avera Sports Institute. I want to show you a great stretch to help improve your torso flexibility and improve the range of motion on your backswing. This is called a \"Crocodile Twist.\" What you\'re going to do is start off laying on your back with your arms out at either side. What we\'re going to do here is take the right foot and put it on top of the left, and then we\'re just going to go ahead and put our hands together by twisting over. This is our starting position; notice how my feet are flat on the ground, and everything\'s nice and square. From this position I\'m just going to go ahead and open up the book and do a twist like a crocodile. Try to keep my feet in position and come on over until I can touch my hand on this side. If you have trouble keeping your feet on the ground, you can hook them under a couch or underneath a bed, but it\'s a great exercise for improving your torso flexibility. Hold for about 30 seconds, then return to the starting position and be sure to repeat on the other side. Crocodile Twist, great exercise to improve your torso rotation for the golf swing. If you have further questions, give me a call, or else check out our website.'
