'Let\'s confess. We think we can save ourselves. We think if we work harder, do better, live cleaner, life will go our way. The truth is God doesn\'t want to be our part time savior. Our \"to the rescue\" then \"go away\" kind of God. His love is intimate, personal and real.   I don\'t mean to rock you, but if you have ever said a prayer for God to please give you the full life, the real thing, He is coming! You can\'t take it back. He waits for us to want him like he wants us. The moment you said that prayer, your future began unraveling itself. Where you are today is exactly where you need to be to get to where God would have you to go. He has been and will continue to fight for you, to get you to that full life in this life, not just the next one to come. The moment you said that prayer, like it or not, you signed up for personal training. You enlisted yourself into exactly the circumstances you are in today. He is fighting for you! He will not settle for nothing less than the full thing thing, the real deal for us. So he walks us through the fire in order to give us the life we once upon a time, a long time ago, hit our knees and asked for. If He said it, he will do it! Hang on.  Repeat after me.. \"Jesus is my personal trainer.\"  My encouragement to you is to continue to show up for your training appointments so that He can do the work. Make your appointment to study his word, then show up. Make time to care for your body, then show up. Schedule time to love others beyond your comfort zone, then show up.   The full life; you asked for it.... you can\'t take it back, but you can slow it down.  Be His.   Completely.  Alisa'
