To set up the youth football conditioning drill athletes will need six Speed and Agility Cones, a set of youth Kbands, and a parent or coach to supervise the youth football conditioning drill. Young athletes can begin the youth football practice drill using the yellow resistance bands. As athletes become stronger and more comfortable with the youth football conditioning drill athletes can advance to the red resistance bands. Begin by placing the Speed and Agility Cones in two rows of three, placing the Speed and Agility Cones 3-5 yards apart. Youth athletes will start at one of the back corner Speed and Agility Cones in a good athletic position. From this point the athlete will explosively sprint laterally toward the Speed and Agility Cone located in the center of the row in front of the athlete. After reaching the center Speed and Agility Cone the athlete will stop and backpedal toward the Speed and Agility Cone directly behind the youth athlete. Athletes will continue to work down the line of Speed and Agility Cones until they reach the opposite back corner of the Speed and Agility Cone formation. From this point young athletes will sprint laterally to the opposite corner of the youth football practice drill, remembering to sprint all the way through the final Speed and Agility Cone. The youth football conditioning drill should be practiced from both sides of the Speed and Agility Cone formation, beginning from the back left and back right Speed and Agility Cone in the formation. The Kbands Youth ACDC Drill should be performed for a total of 4 sets from each side of the Speed and Agility Cone formation. The first two sets of the youth football conditioning drill should be performed with resistance, emphasizing knee drive and proper mechanics while practicing the youth football conditioning drill.
