'What makes the difference between a Good Instructor and a GREAT Instructor? It\'s the details! Yes, we all need to deliver a solid workout for our students... but it\'s the small things that MAKE THE DIFFERENCE. Here are 3 ways you can STEP up your game as a Group Fitness Instructor that you can implement TODAY, this week or for your next class to be even better than you were one week before and ROCK your class while you connect stronger with your students... 1- FIND YOUR WHY! Being a great group fitness instructor starts with YOU. Why did you get involved with group fitness? What deep down in your gut made you take the leap, get trained and teach your first class? It\'s the emotional reason that gets us up out of bed at 5am to go teach, or teach after a full day of work a 530pm at night even on days we don\'t want to... So what is your WHY!??! (Not sure what your WHY is? Check out Simon Sinek\'s START with WHY book!) 2- LOOK the Part! What you wear is your first impression on new students and constant reminder to current students that this matters to you. A great outfit shows you CARE and that this MATTERS to you. If people don\'t think you care and it doesn\'t matter to you, why should class matter to them? 3- ALWAYS be POSITIVE! Mics will go out, your CD won\'t work, the class before runs 15 minutes over, or 5 people show up to a class that normally has 20... KEEP IT POSITIVE! Group Exercise Classes are like a metaphor for like and all I can guarantee is that last minute SANFUs will happen and it\'s how you handle it and LEAD your class to a successful workout regardless of problems that demonstrates your high quality as a leader. Keep is positive, life happens, do the best you can in the moment that you\'re in... Try one, maybe 2 even three in the next few classes that you teach. Which ones helped you the most? What else can help instructors elevate their game? POST BELOW! kjmeuer@gmail.com www.passionfitlife.com'
