'http://www.ironcompany.com/light-commercial-adjustable-stride-elliptical-trainer.aspx - The Spirit Fitness XE895 Adjustable Stride Elliptical Cross-Trainer was designed with comfort, durability, and value in mind. The electronically adjustable stride length (18\"-24\" in 0.5\" increments) answers the question, “ What is the best stride length on an elliptical trainer?” Proper stride length on an elliptical is determined by your height. A shorter person using a stride that is too long may feel overextended while in motion, causing a feeling of being off-balance or too “stretched.” A taller person using a stride that is too short may feel cramped, limited in leg extension, and uncomfortable due to knees extending too far over ankles. Exercisers from 5’ 3” to 5’7” will generally feel comfortable using a stride length from 18” to 20”. Exercisers taller than 5’ 7” will feel more comfortable using a stride length from 20” to 24”. Having an adjustable stride length not only accommodates multiple users of varying heights in a home gym setting or workout center, but can also create better ergonomic motion for an exerciser switching between walking, jogging, and running strides within the same workout. In addition, narrow pedal spacing ensures an ideal stride motion, while the oversized/cushioned foot pedals and multi-position hand grips ensure maximum comfort for users of all sizes and fitness levels. The XE895 Adjustable Stride Cardio Trainer included many additional key features for an exceptional workout experience. Multi-position hand grips allow for a custom and comfortable total-body workout. By holding onto different parts of the grip, different muscle groups will be activated during your workout. The exerciser has the ability to adjust both the resistance level and/or stride length via remote controls without removing his or her hands from the swing arms (especially convenient when performing interval work). The console features an angle adjustment range of 10⁰ to accommodate the best viewing angle. An integrated two-degree inward tilt (exclusive in the industry to Spirit Fitness ellipticals) puts you in a more ergonomically correct position and makes your workout more comfortable.
