'The step up can help you improve single leg power and dynamic stability. Here is an instructional video on how to do this movement.  1. Place your full foot on top of a step, or box. 2. Step up onto the box and drive your opposite knee at hip height. 3. Hold briefly, and lower your leg back to the ground while keeping your foot on the step.
