'I Play the Nintendo Switch Push-ups Workout Game and Got Super Strong (BEST FITNESS GAME?????) - FGR Script: The push-up, or press-up, is ranked as Men\'s Health\'s number one bodyweight exercise for building Muscle. The Nintendo Switch is quickly becoming the best-selling Nintendo console of all time. Combine these two great things, and you get a game called push-ups workout for the Nintendo Switch. A game that aims to prepare you to do two-hundred push-ups… but falls short of anything else. My name is Jack Jenkins, and welcome to the channel. I do things related to self-improvement, such as learning skills or doing challenges. This is a fitness game review where I play a fitness game for some time to try and lose weight. [Intro] Push-ups workout is one of the few dedicated fitness games for the Nintendo switch. It was released in September of 2021, it came out right as the pandemic was lifting, but some people were still at home needing a workout. This puppy came out, and for just two dollars on sale, what could go wrong. It usually\'s five dollars, but it always goes on sale like every other week. It\'s like those furniture stores that have the \'going out of business sign up for three years. The gameplay is incredibly simple. You just hit the like button and subscribe to my channel. That\'s it, and you win the game. I\'m kidding, of course. Once you download, you just lay your switch on the floor. The game is touch screen only, so you can\'t have the switch in the docking station. That\'s why I don\'t have any footage recorded other than a layout video which I will play... Now! [Push up Challenge Screen] It\'s just that simple, folks. In the beginning, you choose your difficulty of easy, medium, or hard, and get into your plank position. Your goal is to hit your nose on the touch screen, hitting the counter. Get to zero, and you get a rest. You keep going until the pre-determined number of sets is over. You can\'t change how many sets or reps you get for the push-ups, and you can\'t change the amount of reset you get. It\'s all based on the level you choose in the beginning. The game has a Mario-type system with levels one with a dash symbolizing each workout. For example, level one has 1-1, 1-2, and 1-3. It goes all the way to eight dashes three, so I figured the challenge is meant for three workouts for eight weeks. I designed my sheet like that, but it may not have been the intention or not… I\'ll get to it shortly. Either way, three workouts for eight weeks doesn\'t sound like that hard of a challenge. With the basic understanding of the software down, let\'s walk through the challenge for me. I will start with easy mode and move up and down to the levels that work with my body. I will do the push-ups three times a week for eight weeks to get my chest all nice and firm. Here is me on the first day looking all chunky: [Day 0] The results will be posted at the end, so stay tuned for that. I did level one-one-one on easy. At the end of the workout, it asks if it was too easy, just right, or too hard, which will move you up to the higher difficulty. I thought it was too easy for me, so I selected that. What\'s weird with the software is that it had me on one-one medium mode when I returned. It\'s weird since I thought it would move up to one-two, but it didn\'t. I thought it was since I changed levels, so I just did one-one medium. I selected that it was just right so it could move me on to 1-2. However, it didn\'t… I was still on 1-1 medium. I thought it was just a way of ranking the workouts, so I went on to choose whatever level I wanted for the challenge. Now that I am finished with the game and that I\'m playing the publisher\'s other game, Sit-Ups workout, I was right. The levels are supposed to be based on three days a week for eight weeks, and you are supposed to follow that. It\'s just broken in this game and in the sit-ups workout. That should probably be fixed cause it\'s just going to cause confusion. Other than that broken implementation, the game is precisely what it is. You just do the level you pick, do the push-ups, and continue with your day. There are no features or options or anything like that. For two dollars… I got to say that I am okay with it. For the price of four gumballs, you get a basic eight-week fitness app, and that\'s a good deal. Sure, you can print a free PDF of the hundred push-up challenge, but I like using an app for this. The push-up only counts if you touch your nose to the screen, which stops you from cheating. As someone who is almost three-hundred pounds, that few inches are everything for my muscles. I did a video on the hundred push-ups a day for a thirty-day challenge, and you can see me cheating. I did some baby push-ups to count them. With the app… you can\'t do that. That doesn\'t mean I did the entire workout like that. I definitely did some workouts on my knees to save my poor joints. My shoulders hurt for days, so doing a...
