'8 Upper Body Sled Exercises for Active Recovery'

'When most people think of active recovery it usually involves some type of boring lower body dominate LISS activity like running, biking, rowing, etc...  As coaches we program active recovery sessions for a couple of reasons.  1. Increase full body blood flow to facilitate the recovery process  2. Add some cardio to the week to keep body fat low and aerobic capacity high.  Upper body specific active recovery sessions usually get overlooked because it’s hard to find movements that give us the stimulus we are looking for without hitting muscular failure, hindering our recovery, and taxing our CNS.  In today’s video we’ll show you our favorite upper body active recovery routine that checks all of the boxes.  Using a sled and some straps, we’ll take you though a series of 8 movements that will help your total body recover, work your core strength, and get your heart rate high enough to burn body fat in the process.
